System Engineer (m/w/d)

As a System Engineer (m/f/d) in our "Solutions" department, you will play a crucial role in the tendering and delivery process for advanced lighting systems. You will be responsible for the technical design, coordination, and quality assurance of lighting systems in the field of maritime defense systems.
The tasks are essentially:
- Working in collaboration with our international sales teams, you will analyze customer requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- They analyze tenders and provide support in product selection or the selection of system solutions that meet all requirements.
- They accompany the sales team to customer meetings as a technical or systems expert when required.
- They create technical proposals and feasibility analyses and ensure compliance with standards in accordance with customer expectations.
- They provide support in developing cost-efficient and competitive system designs while adhering to quality standards.
- They support the sales team with technical knowledge and guidance.
- They work with cross-functional teams, including project managers, product managers, R&D and production, to promote smooth project implementation.
Your qualifications & skills:
- Preferably a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering or another related field.
- Proven experience in system design and implementation, preferably in lighting automation or related industries.
- Experience with lighting control systems, IoT integration and relevant communication protocols (e.g. DALI, KNX or similar)
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Excellent communication skills in German and English
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of international standards related to lighting systems (e.g., MIL-STD, DEF-STAN, BV, STANAG, IEC EN, DNV and similar)
- Strong focus on customer needs and customized solutions.
- A proactive attitude and the ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
- Desired skills:
- Experience with NATO procurement procedures (RFQ, IFB, RFP) and European defence procurement programs
- Knowledge about Integrated Logistics Support (ILS)
- Familiarity with export control regulations, VS-NfD regulations and NATO security regulations
