Role Description We are looking for an experienced systems engineer in hardware-related system development. As a systems engineer in the HW Functions team, you will work with advanced electronic warfare systems and countermeasures for fighter aircraft. The role entails overall responsibility for systemization and design of hardware-related functions and places very high demands on knowledge in microwave design and RF technology. You will work in close collaboration with software developers, hardware developers, production, and project and product management in ongoing development and customer projects. Duties may include: • Management and breakdown of stakeholder and system requirements • Development of specifications, design and system documentation • System design, system architecture and overall technical decisions • Support to development and production departments in modification and maintenance • Responsibility for one or more central units within EW systems Qualifications Master of Science or Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Physics, Electronics or Mechatronics as well as at least 5-10 years of experience as a systems engineer in high-tech industry. Experience in the following areas is highly meritorious: Microwave design and RF system Hardware design, testing and environmental qualification Systems with electronics, radar, radio or embedded systems System development with many stakeholders and interfaces Experience from the defence or aerospace industry Knowledge of standards such as ISO/IEC/IEEE 15288, INCOSE or DO-254 is a plus.
