Memorial Community Hospital and Health System is seeking a talented and driven System Engineer to lead in advancing our IT infrastructure. In this role, you’ll design, implement, and maintain critical systems that power patient care, innovation, and operational excellence across our organization.

What You’ll Do:
- Architect, implement, and manage secure, high-performance infrastructure across both on-premise and cloud environments.
- Design and maintain Windows and Linux systems, leveraging open-source tools for performance and security.
- Lead enterprise-level virtualization, containerization, and automation initiatives (VMware, Kubernetes, Docker, Proxmox).
- Monitor and strengthen cybersecurity through firewalls, IDS/IPS, vulnerability management, endpoint protection, and security policy enforcement.
- Manage network operations and protocols (LAN/WAN, SDN) using tools like Cisco, Meraki, and Palo Alto.
- Optimize cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and hybrid solutions for scalability, resilience, and compliance.
- Act as an escalation point for Tier 2 and Tier 3 support, collaborating with helpdesk and technical teams to resolve issues efficiently.
- Train IT staff and end users in security, operations, and best practices to enhance overall tech literacy and system integrity.
- Spearhead initiatives for disaster recovery, business continuity, data backup, and system optimization.
- Leverage AI tools and trends to enhance user experience, support, and threat mitigation.
What We’re Looking For:
- A problem solver with 5+ years of experience in system engineering and end-user support.
- Highly skilled in virtualization (Dell VXRail, VMware), open-source systems, and enterprise storage (Dell Apex, Druva).
- Proficient in scripting and automation (PowerShell, Bash, Python, Ansible).
- Experienced in managing complex security frameworks (HIPAA, NIST, PCI).
- Knowledgeable in Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Azure, and cloud infrastructure.
- Able to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Passionate about innovation, proactive in learning new technologies, and focused on continuous improvement.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience in healthcare IT or regulated environments.
- ITIL certification or knowledge of IT service management practices.
