Job description

• Development and maintenance of system architectures with Enterprise Architect (SysML) in the MBSE context
• Application of the V-Model XT for safety-critical systems in a military environment
• Analysis and evaluation of system requirements (feasibility, completeness, consistency, testability) with a focus on maintainability & RAMT.
• Creation, documentation and verification of system specifications, interface and architecture models
• Support and maintenance of RFLP chains as well as model-based structuring of technical solutions to ensure maintainability and system availability.
• Participation in design reviews, system analyses and FMEAs in the engineering change process
• Close collaboration with Safety, Qualification & Validation and Quality to ensure compliance with standards (e.g. MIL-STD, STANAG, AQAP)
• Technical management of subcontractors in the fields of architecture and MBSE
• Promoting a model-based development culture in the engineering team

Profile

• Completed university degree in engineering, computer science, aerospace engineering or a comparable field
• At least 3 years of experience as a systems engineer in safety-critical systems (ideally in the defense sector)
• Solid knowledge of V-Model XT, MBSE, maintainability standards and system architecture methods.
• Confident use of Enterprise Architect (SysML), DOORS and common MBSE tools
• Deep understanding of complex technical systems and their interrelationships between function, architecture and maintenance
• Knowledge of relevant standards (e.g. MIL-STD-1472, MIL-HDBK-470A, STANAG, AQAP, ISO 15288)
• Systemic thinking, high level of initiative and strong communication skills
• Fluent German and English skills for communication with international partners and authorities
• Intercultural competence for successful work in international teams
• Strong social skills, particularly in building trust and in professional dealings with clients and specialist departments.
