Responsibilities:
Sabre Systems is hiring an experienced System Engineer to support one of our customers located in Huntsville, Alabama within PEO Aviation. The selected candidate will work directly with government employees, military personal and other contractors. There are a variety of tools that the selected candidate will be utilizing: Door, requisite pro, cameo Architect etc.

The selected candidate will be responsible for but not limited to:

• Provide technical support to APEO, E&A and multiple Aviation Platform offices
• Responsible for establishing standards, policy, processes for all Systems Engineering activities to include risk, configuration management, PLM, requirements management, traceability, design reviews, etc.
• Responsible for supporting and leading system-level trade studies and analyses
• Supports development of and review of Systems Engineering and program milestone documentation
• Supports major design reviews.
• Ensures high HQ policies and guidance are incorporated into PEO Aviation
• Works with platforms to assess program/project technical risks and develops mitigation strategies

Qualifications:

REQUIREMENTS:

• A bachelor’s degree in an engineering field from an accredited college or university is required
• Ten (10) years’ experience in systems engineering related to the traditional “V” activities
• Experience with the Airworthiness process, AQP, AQS, AWR; platforms include enduring and future fleet
• Understanding of Model based systems engineering (MBSE)
• Required to assist in the review of Systems Engineering artifacts related to Milestone reviews such as SFR, SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR
• Required to create and/or review Systems Engineering plans for the enterprise related efforts as well as generate policy for implementation
• Knowledge of architecture physical and logical experience is a plus
• HW and SW experience on major weapons systems is a plus
• Must have an active DoD Secret Clearance or higher
• Must be an US Citizen
• Selected candidate will be required to pass a background investigation
