POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a highly organized and technically proficient System Engineering Coordinator to oversee and optimize cross-functional workflows in engineering and custom manufacturing. This role is pivotal in ensuring alignment between engineering, procurement, production, and quality teams—driving efficiency in resource allocation and production scheduling.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in custom engineering environments, especially in instrumentation, controls, and software. Success in this role requires a proactive mindset, outstanding coordination skills, and the ability to work seamlessly with technical teams, vendors, and clients.

TECHNICAL & PROCESS OPTIMIZATION

  • Interpret engineering drawings, technical documentation, and specifications to sequence work accurately.
  • Ensure appropriate task sequencing based on instrumentation, software, and manufacturing requirements.
  • Utilize ERP/MRP systems to track inventory, resource availability, and project execution.
  • Develop and refine automated tools (e.g., Python, VBA, SQL) to improve planning workflows.
  • Standardize data storage and documentation practices across production planning processes.
  • Design and maintain real-time dashboards to visualize production performance and resource utilization.

Who are we looking for:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or resource coordination within a custom engineering or manufacturing environment.
  • Solid technical foundation in instrumentation, controls, software, and/or custom fabrication.
  • Proficiency in project scheduling techniques, resource capacity planning, and risk mitigation.
  • Advanced skills in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical and multitasking abilities; thrives in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
  • Experience with scripting and automation tools (e.g., Python, VBA, SQL) for workflow optimization.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across disciplines.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Background in aerospace, gas turbine, or industrial automation sectors.
  • Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement practices.
  • Familiarity with quality systems such as ISO 9001 or AS9100.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP, CPIM, or CSCP are a strong asset.
