Description
Annapurna Labs, as part of Amazon, is looking for System Integration and Manufacturing Engineer to join our Nitro Cards product team (https://aws.amazon.com/ec2/nitro/). Our products incorporate the most advanced interfaces and technologies, such as PCIe, DDR, and Ethernet, and are widely used across Amazon Web Services (AWS) data centers as the backbone for Nitro and other services. The Nitro cards are integrated into servers, and during the server manufacturing process, all Nitro interfaces are thoroughly tested before the server is approved for shipment to the data center. We manage multiple server types across various manufacturer sites, all controlled by a scalable infrastructure. The design and maintenance of this infrastructure are owned by the AWS team. The Nitro product team closely monitors the manufacturing results of the Nitro cards integrated into the servers to ensure consistent quality and performance. As System Integration and Manufacturing Engineer for Nitro, you will be the technical owner of the manufacturing lifecycle, specifically focused on the Nitro hardware and it’s integration. You will be the primary driver for new server nitro integration during their first manufacturing runs, ensuring that our newest hardware reaches the data center with good quality. You will be expected to "Dive Deep" into test data, "Invent and Simplify" complex manufacturing flows, and ensure our production lines works at massive scale. Key job responsibilities - Collaborate with Server Manufacturers: Build and maintain strong relationships with AWS server Original Design Manufacturers (ODMs). Serve as the primary point of contact for all manufacturing test-related issues. - Monitor & Analyze Test Data: Continuously monitor manufacturing test results from our ODMs, perform in-depth analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and root causes of failures. - Drive Test Optimization: Define new test methodologies and improve existing ones to enhance test coverage, efficiency, and accuracy. Identify and address coverage gaps in current testing strategies. - Champion Quality Improvement: Identify and resolve quality process gaps within the server manufacturing process. Work with ODMs to implement corrective actions and preventive measures. - Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate closely with internal teams at Annapurna Labs, including software, hardware, and product integration teams. Partner with other AWS teams to ensure seamless integration and optimal server performance. - Troubleshooting & Debugging: Own or participate in the debug of complex hardware issues arising during manufacturing. Provide technical expertise to ODMs to facilitate rapid issue resolution. Basic Qualifications: - B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field - At least 5 years Design / Integration / HW System engineering Experience in at least one area - HW / FW / SW - At least 3 years’ experience working with systems and experience with their SW, FW and HW components Preferred Qualifications: - Computer architecture knowledge - Good understanding of SW architecture - High-speed interfaces knowledge and debug capabilities- PCIe, Ethernet, DDR etc. - Experience with server (x86 / ARM) design or architecture - Experience with operating systems, boot loaders, networking, and remote debugging - Ability to drive cross team and cross disciplinary activities - Experience in big data analysis (SQL) Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
