DESCRIPTION

As a Hardware System Design Engineer, you will be directly applying your engineering expertise and working with many cross-functional teams to realize products that consumers will love! We collaborate with a large number of groups to bring a product from concept to mass production.

  • Our goal is to help define exciting product features that will touch our customers. Therefore you’ll have the ability to solve challenging engineering problems by selecting components, designing schematics, directing layout, and bringing up/ debugging circuits in the lab.
  • Work along side partner teams to create prototypes to aid in product definition and user testing.
  • There will be access to state of the art test equipment in labs to perform characterization of your circuits. You will also be able to define test criteria and execute these test plans on functional prototypes to demonstrate the robustness of your designs.
  • Some domestic & international travels will be required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors or Master’s degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering
  • 3+ years hardware development engineering in a team environment
  • Experience with schematic capture & layout review.
  • Experience in prototyping, bring-up, debug and validation
  • Strong Electrical Engineering fundamentals

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to understand and identify product tradeoffs (power, performance, etc.) and optimize designs to meet requirements
  • Working knowledge of embedded systems with focus on meeting tight constraints (i.e. power, size)
  • Knowledge in one or more of the following areas: CPU/SOC, power(DC-DC converters, battery, power management, low power design), analog circuits, wireless systems, sensor design and integration.
  • Experience working with mechanical design and software development teams.
  • Experience with high speed and low speed digital interfaces.
