Job Description
We are currently hiring for Junior System Integration Verification & Validation Engineering Analysts for our Land & Joint division. In this role you will be supporting the delivery of critical capabilities for the Canadian Army. You will be working with a multidisciplinary engineering team to deliver Intelligence, Reconnaissance, Target Acquisition and Surveillance capabilities into a fully integrated tactical network. You will be part of an agile development team, responsible for integration and test of hardware and software configuration items.
The ideal candidate is curious and has a passion for communications. You like to investigate and would enjoy the challenge of integrating multiple systems, containing multiple applications into a larger complex system. Due to the levels of development and integration, the SI V&V team develops verification test cases at multiple levels. You will design, develop, and execute manual and automated tests at the product and system level.

The following are typical responsibilities of SI V&V team members:

  • Review requirement specifications, interface control documents, design documents and use cases in order to develop test cases for integration and verification
  • Prepare and review integration and verification test procedures and reports
  • Perform system integration and verification in labs as required
  • Prepare test cases in a lab environment/in vehicles
  • Execute test cases in a lab environment and where applicable within the vehicles; analyze, interpret and document results
  • Perform analysis and interpretation of integration and verification test results
  • Prepare, analyze, and track defect reports
  • Participate in System Technical Review Board as required
  • Generate and maintain test scripts for automated testing
  • Map test cases as required
  • Participate in reviews, inspections and audits
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Expand knowledge of latest technologies, products and market trends relevant to area of work
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or applicable scientific discipline
  • Experience with product level testing.
  • Experience with test automation tools and framework such as Robot, Selenium, SQUISH, etc.
  • Experience in scripting language such as Python, JavaScript, Visual Basic, etc.
  • Experience developing test plans and test reports.
  • Good understanding of Agile Principle and Devops
  • Good communication skills
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain Canadian Security Clearance and a positive Controlled Goods Assessment. Eligibility to work in Canada either as a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
