MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: * Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. * 2 years of experience with working in system or SoC level power modeling, power estimation, data analytics and profiling. * 2 years of experience with working in modeling and automation using Python and SQL. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Experience with mobile phone hardware subsystems including applications processor, cellular modem, graphics, multimedia, display, memory, Wireless-Fidelity (Wi-Fi). * Experience with mobile phone workloads in multimedia processing, camera pipeline, render and display processing or cellular modem/Wi-Fi processing. * Experience with power measurement tools such as Monsoon, digital multimeter. * Experience with Android tools like adb, Systrace, Git. * Knowledge of mobile devices including hardware and software. * Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. RESPONSIBILITIES: * Develop system level power model for battery life projection and analysis. * Define, develop, or utilize tools and methods for detailed power analysis of subsystems in order to enable use case level analysis. * Work with cross-functional hardware, software, and systems teams to perform power/performance trade-off analysis and optimizations for use-cases. * Propose and drive implementation of power optimization features across hardware and software. * Participate in power and performance benchmarking of hardware (e.g., System on a chip (SoC), central processing unit (CPU), Graphics Processing Unit (GPU), Power Management Integrated Circuits (PMICs), etc), software (e.g., firmware, kernel, Android/iOS, and more), and applications (e.g., multimedia, Generative AI, etc) across internal and external platforms.
