Responsibilities

Join Lockheed Martin Australia as a System Safety Engineer supporting the cutting-edge AIR6500 program. Reporting to the System Safety Lead, you will play a key role in the identification, analysis, and mitigation of safety risks across complex defence systems.

In this role, you will:

  • Review system designs and operational procedures to establish and maintain robust safety requirements.
  • Independently analyse system hazards and develop safety documentation to support certification and test activities.
  • Provide independent safety assessments and contribute to safety-related investigations.
  • Conduct hazard analysis while collaborating with engineering and technical SMEs (e.g. ILS, HSI, Software, Cyber).
  • Participate in technical investigations, planning, estimation, and scheduling of safety tasks.
