JOB DESCRIPTION

Intel Flex is an Embedded Consulting Unit that works across different business units, functional groups and product teams to deliver high impact results to Intel; Through software engineering services, solution development, organization transformation, project/program management and outsourcing management. Our mission is to make it easier to move faster on the things that matter most to Intel. In Intel Flex, you will have opportunity to move between projects in various product groups to gain experience, learning new skills and growing your cross organization professional network while making high-value contributions across the company. Management will work with you to prioritize projects that align with your skills and your areas of growing interest. System Software Development engineer responsibility include but not limited to designs, develops, integrates, tests, validates, and/or debugs software across multiple layers of the software stack spanning firmware, drivers, operating systems, middleware, frameworks, algorithms, and applications/UI for a specific technology, product/platform, and/or market segment, including the development of software to enable specific features, capabilities, solutions, reference platforms, or Intel products. We are looking for candidates with solid communication and core software engineering skills; people who can work with domain experts to understand requirements and then propose and implement software solutions. The ideal candidate is not expected to be proficient in all technical domains; however, the candidate is expected to apply their knowledge to new areas and being flexible and open to learning new skills.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics Electrical Engineering or Software Engineering or any other related field. - Good programming skills in one of the popular programming languages, like C/C++, Python. Preferred Qualifications: - Machine Learning Framework (e.g. TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch), including deep learning, OpenVINO - Feature Engineering (e.g. Data preparation, Dataset transformation) - Performance Optimization (e.g. Model Optimization, Reduction Pruning, Performance tuning) - OpenCL/CUDA/oneAPI/SYCL - Gstreamer / FFmpeg / media pipeline knowledge - GPU/VPU/NPU Hardware understanding / knowledge - Git/Git Hub - Linux - Cloud Native / Software containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.). - Low-level Virtual Platforms for hardware/software simulation. - Demonstrated work experience in system software engineering. Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research.
