ABOUT THE TEAM

You will be part of a team that owns Core Data Path (CDP), located in either San Jose, California, or RTP (Research Triangle Park), North Carolina. which is an integral part of most of the Nutanix products and solutions .Nutanix Acropolis Data Storage Fabric is (DSF) the core of Nutanix HCI platform. It manages all metadata and data, and enables core storage features. DSF is the underpinning architectural element that connects the storage and compute resources. It enables scalability, resiliency and performance. Stargate service is one of the primary components in DSF and handles I/O path. It serves client read/write requests, offers various storage features like flow-control, data avoidance & data reduction features. The CDP QA team is looking for engineers who are in sync with our values and are passionate about systems software & quality.
You will report to the Sr. Staff Engineer, who believes in a hands-on leadership style that encourages team involvement in coding, debugging, and tool development. The manager places a strong emphasis on individual contributions and development within a supportive atmosphere. The work setup for this role is on-site, requiring the new hire to be in the office five days a week.
This role does not require any travel, allowing team members to focus entirely on their work within the office environment, ensuring consistent collaboration and communication with peers.

Responsibilities
  • Develop a deep understanding of complex distributed systems and collaborate closely with development teams, QA and product management to deliver high-quality products in a fast-paced environment.
  • Conduct coding and code reviews to ensure high-quality software development.
  • Debug and resolve defects in the software, improving system performance and reliability.
  • Run verification tests for software releases and document test results.
  • Develop and implement tooling requirements to enhance QA processes and automation.
  • Participate in innovation hackathons, contributing to team capabilities and product quality.
  • Collaborate with team members on functional and system testing activities to ensure comprehensive coverage.
  • Engage in knowledge sharing and continuous improvement initiatives within the team.
  • Build expertise in Linux systems and storage internals to contribute effectively to projects.
