Your tasks

• Market observation, evaluation and design of technical systems and technologies in the field of access technology
• Integration of new technologies into the existing network infrastructure
• Taking over technical responsibility for our FTTX access network with a focus on FTTH throughout the entire lifecycle
• Development of comprehensive test strategies and execution of regression and acceptance tests within the framework of release and launch processes.
• Support for technical tenders in close cooperation with the purchasing organization
• Training of the responsible engineering, implementation and operations departments
• Ensuring consistent documentation of all relevant processes and technological concepts
• Coordination, quality assurance, and supplier and partner management
• Participation in strategic coordination meetings to align the technical strategy
• Significant participation and project responsibility as representative of the department in projects
• Departmental representation activities, including presenting technical implementations to internal clients.

Your qualifications

• Completed studies in the telecommunications field (communications engineering or computer science) or comparable training
• Several years of relevant professional experience in the telecommunications sector
• Strong understanding of network technologies for telecommunications services, especially xPON networks.
• Basic understanding of IP/MPLS technologies and concepts, HSI (PPPoE and DHCP), XDSL and G.fast
• Experience with system technology from relevant manufacturers is an advantage.
• Safe use of Microsoft 365
• Strengths in communication, decision-making ability and initiative
• Strong analytical skills and results orientation
• Fluent German and English language skills
