Role description: This is an onsite position based in Windsor, Ontario. Arcadis' Intelligence practice works on unique and leading-edge transportation technology projects for agencies across North America and International. We are looking for great people with a keen interest in technology to join our Intelligent Transportation and Tolling teams to assist public and private entities across North America plan, design, procure, deploy and utilize technologies and systems for application to tolling, traffic operations traveler information, transit and other transportation business functions. Examples of the types of projects that we typically work on include multi-tier corporate level electronic payment systems for tolling and transit, ITS systems for incident detection and traffic management, data analysis for performance monitoring and operational improvement, mobile apps for payment, planning and information dissemination.  Role accountabilities: Technical Responsibilities: For new projects or updates on existing the following responsibilities are applicable •Gather system requirements and work directly with client team and internal software development and service delivery teams  •Prepare project deliverables such as technical memos, design documents, project plan and testing documents, reports, schedules, and engineering cost estimates. • Install, configure, test and commission various electronic devices IT equipment and software.  • Onsite activities may include meeting with client for workshops, overseeing subcontractor device installation, formal testing and support. For existing the following responsibilities are applicable • Support Arcadis delivered system for the existing North America clients  (reactive maintenance) • Monitor the performance, status and accuracy of the systems  (preventative maintenance) • Produce monthly and other regular reports and participate/lead meetings with the client  • Ensure that system cybersecurity requirements are met  Other Responsibilities: • Coordinating project activities, taking responsibility for tasks and deliverables, working with colleagues and subject matter experts from across the firm to come up with creative ideas and solutions, and preparing the materials and deliverables required for the project • Help with proposal preparation to pursue new work • Support Project Management activities such as scheduling, progress reporting, budget estimates / updates, and liaising with client team • May travel to project locations for client-facing assignments. Qualifications & Experience: * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in one of the following fields: * Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, Electronics, or Electrical Engineering * Transportation or Civil Engineering with a focus on systems design * 0–5 years of relevant professional experience * Valid driver’s license * Willingness and ability to travel and work in the United States for business purposes * Familiarity with computer systems and electronics, preferably within Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Excellent teamwork and collaboration abilities * Ability to coordinate effectively with other engineering disciplines, software development and service delivery teams, project managers, and clients * Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently  Why Arcadis? The base salary represents Arcadis’ hiring range for this position.
