Responsibilities:

The System Test Analyst is a key and active participant of the Emergency Communication Information Services (ECIS) team. The goal of the function is to validate the software product against requirement specification and confirm that the system performs all functional and non-functional requirements.
Reporting to the System Test Lead, specific accountabilities will include preparation of test cases, test plans and test scripts. Conduct System and Integration testing against the test plan and update test cases based on results.
The main purpose of the role is to provide end-to-end systems test and systems integration testing working on major releases within a program of work. The role is responsible for testing of CAD changes and corporate software utilised by the organisation.
As part of the ECIS team you may be required to travel or transfer between your primary work location and other 000VIC sites to effectively carry out your duties. Normal working hours are 38 hours per week between 7 am and 7 pm, Monday to Friday. You may be required to work reasonable overtime.

Day to day responsibilities include:

  • Develop and maintain system testing processes and procedures within TZV’s Testing Framework
  • Design and run test cases based on system requirements and specifications
  • Log and track issues, providing clear reproduction steps and collaborating on resolutions
  • Validate end-to-end functionality of the system, ensuring all components work together seamlessly
  • Work with system designers, and test leads to clarify requirements and ensure test coverage
  • Record and report test outcomes, highlighting risks, issues, and progress to stakeholders
