Responsibilities:
The System Test Lead is a key and active participant of Emergency Communications Information Services (ECIS). The goal of the function is to ensure all system test phases are managed effectively on behalf of ECIS.
Reporting to the Manager, Test Practice, specific accountabilities will include managing the System Test team, writing functional, non-functional, integration and regression testing plans, developing test cases, executing testing, and writing test reports.
The main purpose of the role is to ensure software changes are delivered within specification and to the accepted level of quality. The role is responsible for testing of CAD changes and corporate software utilised by the organisation.
As part of the ECIS team you may be required to travel or transfer between your primary work location and other 000VIC sites to effectively carry out your duties. Normal working hours are 38 hours per week between 7 am and 7 pm, Monday to Friday. You may be required to work reasonable overtime.
This position may be required to back-fill the Manager, Test Practice role as required.
Day to day responsibilities include:
- Maintain, and improve system testing processes and procedures aligning TZV’’s Testing Framework
- Lead the development and implementation of system, integration, and regression testing plans for any changes into the production TZV environment and provide inputs into end-to-end Testing strategies.
- Document detailed test plans, test cases and scripts, ensuring each in scope test basis is understood and tested by working closely with stakeholders
- Manage and lead a high-performing team of System Test Analysts (both internal and external resources) across multiple projects and BAU changes, including demand, task, risk, and issue management.
- Collaborate with the Acceptance Test Lead, System Design, Apps, GIS and Release teams for smooth delivery of releases.
