JOB SUMMARY:
Supermicro Computer is currently looking for talented System Validation Engineer to partner with Hardware Design team to validate in-house servers and workstation platforms against various Switches and interconnects, and to troubleshoot and detect any problems of current validation projects. The candidate will be responsible for providing technical specifications and build testing configurations to verify systems’ stability and reliability for these interconnects. In this position, you will have the opportunity to work with both internal engineering and product team on various projects as it relates to Switch equipment and cabling.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in CS, CE, EE or similar
- 2+ years of working experience in systems testing, network component testing or network OS validation
- Familiar with HPC, data center, networking architecture, system mechanics, etc.
- Capable of lifting 50lbs (servers)
Please note that this position requires regular in-office attendance. The successful candidate is expected to be present in the office during standard working hours as determined by the company. In-office collaboration and participation in team meetings, training sessions, and other on-site activities are essential aspects of this role. Candidates should consider the commuting distance and be prepared to fulfill their responsibilities in the designated office location.

Responsibilities:
INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (OTHER DUTIES MAY ALSO BE ASSIGNED):
- Perform server system application validation testing
- Conduct functional and compatibility testing on various operating systems such as Linux and Windows specifically focusing on networking devices
- Perform server configuration and system performance testing focusing on network devices and interconnects.
- Report hardware and software quality assurance issues into bug tracking systems
- Duplicate customers motherboard issue if needed
- Work with customers and product management to understand production use of the product and understand advanced functionality requirements
- Familiar with HPC, data center, networking architecture, system mechanics, etc.
- Experience with various transceiver technologies, networking standards and interconnects
