Description
The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) is seeking a SYSTEMATIC REVIEW RESEARCH ASSOCIATE to support high-quality systematic review searching for health science researchers at UAB. To conduct expert searches for clinicians, researchers, and faculty undertaking systematic, scoping, rapid, and other evidence reviews, including those connected to grant applications.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Provides expert literature searching to support systematic, scoping, rapid, and other evidence reviews in the Health Sciences. This includes designing and executing comprehensive search strategies, collaborating with researchers and faculty to refine protocols, contributing to grant applications, and ensuring compliance with established standards and best practices.
2. Answers queries and offers consultation on systematic review searching and the use of research tools such as Covidence and EndNote. Assists researchers, faculty, and clinicians with technical questions, troubleshooting issues, and provides guidance on reference management, data organization, and workflow efficiency.
3. Conducts peer review of systematic review searches conducted by colleagues by evaluating strategies for completeness, accuracy, and reproducibility. This duty also includes ensuring adherence to guidelines, offering constructive feedback, and promoting consistency and quality across collaborative review projects.
(Annual Salary: $52,555 - $85,400)
Qualifications
Master’s degree in Library Sciences from an American Library Association (ALA) accredited institution or a related field and five (5) years of related experience is required. Work may NOT substitute for education requirement.
