Description:
We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic Systemic Family Therapist to join our East Young Adult Mental Health Team (based in Ipswich) working with 18-25 years olds and their families.
We are seeking someone to join an experienced MDT including clinical psychology, OT, social work, nursing, and psychiatry colleagues. You will become a key senior clinician within the team, assessing and working with families and young adults with complex mental health needs. You will work alongside senior psychology and psychological therapy colleagues to provide a highly specialist systemic perspective to the broader work of the service.
If successful, you will be joining us at an exciting time as we continue our transformation work and strive to develop a model of care aligned with the specific needs of local communities, and specifically the unique developmental needs of young adults within the 18-25 year old age range.
Main direct clinical duties will include comprehensive mental health and systemic assessments and provision of specialist treatment to a complex caseload of young adults and their support networks;. Alongside direct clinical work, you would also be expected to provide systemic expertise, advice, guidance and consultation to other professionals as part of the MDT. There will be opportunities to provide supervision, consultation, reflective practice, and to contribute to service development, implementation and evaluation of family therapy across the service.
There will be opportunities for training and ongoing CPD to support development and innovation as we strive to deliver high-quality mental health services.
Why work for us? We have challenges as a Trust, but we have ambitious aspirations, are pushing ahead with exciting transformation work and we need dedicated individuals to support us on our journey. We have strong, established nursing networks coupled with an exceptional leadership team who will ensure you are truly cared for and cared about.
