The Opportunity This role supports the development and maintenance of financial systems and processes, ensuring data integrity and strong controls. As part of the Finance Systems Control & Transformation Centre of Excellence, it bridges Finance & Actuarial teams with Oracle technical experts. System Accountants apply their accounting and systems expertise to design, analyse, and improve financial data flows, controls, and reporting—supporting both transformation initiatives and day-to-day operations. How will you make an impact? Implement and enhance Oracle EPM tools (FCCS, PBCS, TRCS, Narrative Reporting) within RLA. Ensure accuracy and timeliness of EPM data and financial reporting. Collaborate across Finance System Squads and SMTs to maintain a complete and reliable financial ecosystem. Document current state processes clearly to support upcoming changes. Develop future-state requirements using best practices, guided by Chapter and COE Leads. Partner with project teams and vendors to align Oracle Fusion EPM capabilities with future finance goals. Conduct unit testing and troubleshoot financial system and data integration components. Prepare testing documentation and support remediation activities. Support change management with SOPs, training, and documentation. Identify inefficiencies and recommend process improvements to boost accuracy and productivity. Implement enhanced controls and processes for accounting operations. About you Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a focus on innovation and accuracy Proactive, outcome-driven, and adaptable in fast-paced, agile environments Able to manage multiple priorities and make pragmatic trade-offs Collaborative team player with clear communication and stakeholder management skills Deep Oracle EPM (FCCS, PBCS, TRCS) functional knowledge Solid understanding of IFRS17 and financial system implementations Experience in testing, issue resolution, and documentation Familiar with software faults and control standards Ideal Experience Degree in finance, accounting, or related field; Chartered Accountant preferred Background in life insurance and accounting Experience with mergers, acquisitions, or separations (preferred) Proven delivery in agile projects and vendor management Strong collaboration with Finance and IT teams Knowledge of accounting standards and financial regulations Experience with Oracle Fusion ERP, ORMB, and OFSAA platforms (desirable) Why Join Us?
