Position Overview:
The Systems Administrator / Analyst Programmer will play a dual role in maintaining Laurus Education’s technology infrastructure while developing and customizing solutions to meet organizational needs. This role includes managing the Axcelerate LMS, integrating advanced data workflows, customizing APIs with Python, and supporting IT infrastructure such as Windows systems and devices.

Key Responsibilities:

• LMS Administration: Administer and optimize the Axcelerate, ensuring operational efficiency and data accuracy.
• System Management: Manage Microsoft 365 Identity and Access solutions to ensure secure and efficient user access.
• IT Infrastructure: Configure, set up, and manage Windows-based workstations and devices to meet organizational standards.
• SharePoint Optimization: Support the improvement of SharePoint document workflows and internal communication systems.
• Backup Management: Implement robust backup strategies for Microsoft 365 systems using tools like Veeam Backup.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Engage and collaborate with different stakeholders to identify business and technical requirements to help develop new custom solutions.
• Collaboration & Optimization: Work closely with stakeholders to gather feedback, optimize processes, and identify system enhancements.
• Compliance: Ensure existing business processes, procedures, and work practices are properly applied within the IT infrastructure and follow compliance and policies.
• Data Management: Manage the data flow from different platforms to ensure that the data collected is accurate and clean.
• Data Analytics & Reporting: Design and implement Power BI dashboards and integrate Zoho Analytics to generate actionable insights.
• Report Development: Design and develop reports with analysis according to business requirements.
• Custom API Development: Develop and customize APIs using Python to enable seamless integration between systems and analytics platforms.
• Automation & Scripting: Develop Bash scripts for Windows shell prompts to automate system processes, customize device boots, and improve system performance.
• Technical Support: Respond to inquiries about software and hardware problems.
• Cross-Cultural Communication: Utilize bi-lingual proficiency (preferably in Southeast Asian languages or Spanish) to engage effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• At least 3 years of experience in managing Axcelerate or any other learning management system.
• At least 5 years of experience developing REST APIs and integrating them into Power BI or Zoho Analytics.
• Proven experience in systems administration and analyst programming roles, particularly with LMS platforms (e.g., Axcelerate, Moodle).
• Strong expertise in Python for API development and integration.
• Experience designing Power BI dashboards and using tools like Zoho Analytics.
• Proficiency in developing Bash scripts for system customization and automation.
• Hands-on experience in configuring and managing Windows workstations and devices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 Identity and Access Management.
• Knowledgeable in Azure and managing virtual machines running Windows Server.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) and backup solutions like Veeam Backup.
• Excellent communication skills to gather requirements and deliver system improvements.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on innovation and process optimization.
• Able to work in a group or independently.
• Must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business Information Systems or similar higher degrees.

Pay: $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
