Description:
Overview:
BlueWater Federal is looking for System Administrator to support clients located on Arnold Air Force Base in Tullahoma, TN. Will provide users the capabilities to find, access, collaborate, fuse, display, manage, and store information on the DoDIN. Services provided include Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS), National Security Systems (NSS), intelligence data handling equipment, Command and Control equipment, Local Area Networks (LANs), Wide Area Networks (WANs), Wireless LAN (WLAN), secure and non-secure video, voice and data systems, and other mission equipment
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and sustain server infrastructure – monthly reporting on server capacity, workloads, and future workloads.
- Manage servers and storage. Provide and administer server infrastructure products to include operational support for physical and virtual servers, clusters, print servers, Storage Area Networks (SAN), Electro Magnetic Compatibility storage systems, virtualization, and backup systems.
- Perform server backup and restoration. Perform backups to ensure that in case of a massive failure, restored data shall never be greater than 24 hours in arrears.
- Monitor and tune servers. Ensure that automated server monitoring is performed on servers on a 24X7X365 basis. This includes network connectivity, CPU, memory, disk space thresholds, uptime, response time, and web server availability.
- Troubleshoot, Sustain, and Upgrade Servers. Maintain currency of server technologies and existing service offerings through research, development, deployment, and training.
- Support SharePoint, websites, and administration. Provide services and solutions to develop and administer websites that enable Web Content Management and help ensure information is available to users to accomplish their mission.
- Support Morale, Welfare, and Recreation Network Server. Maintain, monitor, operate, and support the Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR), also known as Quality of Life (QOL), server infrastructure, providing a stable structured environment for all Services business systems
Qualifications:
- Microsoft or Red Hat Certification for the operating systems and products that are being managed (i.e., Computing Environment)
- At least three years’ experience in Windows Server and Virtual environment administration, system hardening/patch management (e.g., STIG compliance)
- At least three years’ experience with system admin functions including Windows Server and Virtual machines, data center management, IT preventative maintenance, system hardening (e.g., STIG compliance, etc.)
- Must have an active Secret clearance or the ability to obtain one
- CompTIA Security+ certification is required
