CGI has an immediate need for a Systems Administrator to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced team environment supporting one of the largest leaders in the secondary mortgage industry. This position is located at a client site in Reston, VA or Plano, TX. A hybrid working model is acceptable.

Responsibilities

YOUR FUTURE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Join our dynamic team as a Systems Administrator, where you will play a crucial role in supporting our client’s trading desk operations and live trading activities. Serve as the primary operations contact for the trading desk, managing workflows and ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Implement and monitor operational risk controls to maintain compliance and mitigate risks.
Work closely with trading, compliance, legal, and middle/back-office teams to ensure smooth trade execution and business continuity.
Partner with technology and project teams to drive process improvements, system upgrades, and automation initiatives.
Prepare for significant market events and ensure business continuity.
Produce operational reports and metrics for management review.
Collaborate with technology and project management teams to enhance trading platforms, market room systems, and automate manual processes.
Support new product launches, business initiatives, and regulatory change implementations from an operational perspective.
Manage technology issues through a ticketing system and oversee initiatives to install and maintain hardware and software.
Maintain user access accounts.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE:

1-5 years of relevant experience
Strong understanding of system administration tasks, user profile management, OS level troubleshooting and system performance monitoring
Strong ability to liaise between traders, technology support teams and compliance officers to align technology with business needs.
Experience with endpoint management tools like Microsoft SCCM and familiarity with device provisioning, patch management and software distribution processes.
Knowledge of trading platforms, market data feeds, order execution and post-trade processing.
Knowledge of networking concepts, latency analysis and firewall configurations.
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
Proficiency in Python R or excel for data analysis, automation, and reporting to optimize trading strategies and operational efficiency.
Ability to oversee real-time issue resolution, ensuring minimal downtime and swift recovery from system failures.
Familiarity with Market data vendors (Bloomberg, Reuters) and pricing feeds.
Expertise in service management concepts for networks and related standards such as ITIL practices or SDLC
Experience with ITIL practices, including service strategy, service design, service transition, service operation, and continual service improvement, to align IT services with the needs of the business
Possess technical delivery capabilities to address customer questions and concerns, and effectively resolve them
Experience interpreting the overall design of a computing system
Experience identifying measures, or indicators of system performance, and the actions needed to improve or correct performance to achieve desired outcomes
Working with people with different functional expertise respectfully and cooperatively to work toward a common goal
Skilled in documentation and database reporting for the purposes of analysis, data discovery, and decision-making with the use of relevant software such as Excel, or SSRS
Skilled in IPC Turret Phone Systems
Proficient in Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Skilled in using Mac OS & Windows 10/11
Experience using JIRA & Confluence
Experienced in using ServiceNow to manage digital workflows.
Education: Bachelors or masters degree in computer science or equivalent.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $59,000.00 - $130,600.00
