THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Systems Administrator to join our IT team. This role is critical to maintaining and optimizing our internal systems and IT help desk operations. You’ll play a key role in supporting our enterprise SaaS insurance platform, ensuring high availability, security, and performance across our technology stack. Your commitment to deliver exceptional support to our clients and internal employees will be essential to be successful in this role.
This is a hybrid position that will be performed from our office in London, Ontario and remotely within Canada. We anticipate this position will work on average 2 days per week from the Company’s office with the remaining time from a home office, however, this schedule may change based on business needs.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • University degree or college diploma in a related field
  • Proven experience as a Systems Administrator or similar role in a SaaS or enterprise IT environment
  • Proficiency in system administration for Windows and Linux environments
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware)
  • Familiarity with networking concepts (DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls)
  • Experience supporting Oracle databases
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and customer service abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
Responsibilities
  • Provide IT support to employees, resolving hardware, software, and access issues
  • Administer internal systems, servers, and networks to ensure optimal performance and security
  • Manage, monitor, maintain, upgrade and patch Oracle databases
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues across cloud and on-prem environments
  • Implement and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans
  • Collaborate with DevOps and Development teams to support deployment pipelines and system integrations
  • Manage and maintain cloud infrastructure, including provisioning, monitoring, and scaling resources
  • Maintain documentation for systems, processes, and configurations
  • Ensure compliance with security policies and data protection regulations
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned
