System Administrator / DevOps Engineer – Asteris

Our products, Keystone and Omni, deliver PACS and DICOM imaging services to thousands of clinics and hospitals worldwide. We’re seeking a System Administrator with strong DevOps and SQL expertise to support our US-based data centers, help automate deployments, and ensure our imaging platforms remain secure, reliable, and scalable.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Prior experience with healthcare/veterinary imaging infrastructure
• Microsoft, VMware, or CompTIA certifications
• Background in security best practices and monitoring

ROLE OVERVIEW

This is not a traditional “button-clicking” sysadmin role. We’re looking for someone who can:

• Manage Windows Server–based infrastructure and PACS/DICOM imaging systems
• Bring a DevOps mindset to automation, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code
• Write and assess code/scripts (PowerShell, C#, SQL, or equivalent)
• Provide deep SQL Server administration expertise (queries, tuning, mixed mode authentication, and troubleshooting)
• Partner with developers and product teams to improve reliability, deployments, and performance

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Administer and maintain Windows Server (2016–2022) and IIS web servers
• Manage and troubleshoot PACS/DICOM infrastructure and imaging workflows
• Administer SQL Server (install, configure, optimize, backup/restore, performance tuning)
• Support and automate deployments with Octopus Deploy and TeamCity CI/CD
• Write and review scripts/code (PowerShell, T-SQL, C#, or similar) for automation and optimization
• Configure and manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs
• Troubleshoot and optimize network performance in US data centers
• Support RabbitMQ message queues for system services
• Implement system monitoring, patching, and disaster recovery
• Provide Tier 2/3 support for complex imaging and infrastructure issues
• Document systems, processes, and automation standards
