Digital Consultants is seeking a skilled Systems Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize the organization’s IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in server administration, network configuration, and system performance optimization, with proven experience in troubleshooting complex systems and ensuring operational continuity. This position plays a key role in supporting enterprise-level systems, implementing security measures, and maintaining data integrity across platforms. Key Responsibilities: Install, maintain, and provide general support for system hardware, software, and networks. Manage day-to-day configuration, operation, and performance of IT systems, servers, and applications. Analyze and resolve issues related to operating systems, server hardware, and applications software. Detect, diagnose, and troubleshoot technical problems on server, desktop, mobile, and thin client systems. Conduct system vulnerability scanning and remediation, ensuring compliance through STIG (Security Technical Implementation Guides) implementation and documentation. Assist end-users with system access, functionality, and technical issues. Provide full-time, on-site technical support across multiple environments and security classifications. Install and configure new software releases, system upgrades, and patches using various means including WSUS, WPP, and MECM Conduct system backups, recovery procedures, and ensure disaster recovery readiness. Maintain system data files and monitor configuration to ensure accuracy and data integrity. Perform system capacity analysis, forecasting, and optimization to enhance resource utilization. Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance and system reliability. Define system requirements in collaboration with stakeholders, ensuring scalability and compatibility with existing infrastructure. Requirements Clearance: Secret Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field. Certifications: CompTIA Security+ CE (Active) Experience: Minimum 5+ years of progressive experience in systems administration or equivalent military/contractor experience. Technical Skills Operating Systems: Windows Server 2019 and 2022, Windows 11, and Linux Networking: Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, IPSec, SMTP, WDS Software Tools: WSUS, Trellix Endpoint Security, Microsoft Office Suite Virtualization Platforms: VMware vSphere, Omnissa Horizon, NSX and ESXi Backup Platforms: Veeam Backup and Replication Logging Platforms: Exabeam LogRhythm Cybersecurity Platforms: ACAS, Evaluate STIG, STIG Viewer, SCAP Hardware: Dell servers, RAID configuration, failover clustering, load balancing Preferred Competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple systems and projects simultaneously. Proven track record of maintaining secure and efficient IT environments. Experience supporting DoD or government IT environments is highly preferred.
