ROLE SUMMARY
The Systems Administrator plays a critical role in maintaining and securing the IT infrastructure that supports Firmus’ business operations across regional offices. Reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), this position is responsible for the day-to-day administration of servers, network systems, endpoints, cloud services, and enterprise platforms. The role requires a strong hands-on background in system administration, hybrid Active Directory environments, cybersecurity enforcement, and end-user support. The Systems Administrator also contributes to strategic technology initiatives, including infrastructure modernisation, security posture improvements, and operational efficiency projects. This position demands a proactive, detail-oriented individual with the ability to manage complex systems, provide high-quality support, and collaborate effectively across departments and with external vendors.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Administer and maintain Corporate IT infrastructure across regional offices (e.g. Singapore and Australia), including Windows/Linux servers, virtual instances (Hyper-V, VMware, Proxmox), network equipment, and storage systems.
- Deploy, configure, and manage enterprise platforms such as Microsoft 365, Intune, Azure AD, and Hybrid Active Directory; ensure synchronisation, group policies, and role-based access control are consistently enforced.
- Oversee and support security and access systems, including Milestone VMS servers and Inner Range access control infrastructure.
- Implement and enforce cybersecurity solutions using Palo Alto Prisma Access, Cortex XDR, MFA, and vulnerability management practices.
- Support system backup operations and disaster recovery using Veeam, including scheduled testing and verification.
- IT onboarding and offboarding process for staff, including account provisioning/deactivation, device issuances/returns, and access rights review.
- Administer collaboration and communication platforms, including managing user access, integration, and policy controls in Slack.
- Maintain an accurate IT asset inventory and oversee software licensing compliance (e.g., Microsoft, Adobe, Autodesk).
- Enforce endpoint compliance, application controls, and security policies using Microsoft Intune across Windows, macOS, and mobile devices.
- Provide end-user support through the IT Service Desk using Jira Service Management (JSM), ensuring efficient resolution of service tickets and escalations.
- Monitor infrastructure health using observability and centralised logging tools, including experience working with SIEM platforms to detect and respond to threats.
- Lead and contribute to IT improvement projects, driving alignment with industry best practices and organisational goals.
- Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including system configurations, SOPs, and security audit trails.Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors to deliver secure and efficient IT services across the organisation.
