Description FOCUS Broadband is seeking a Systems Administrator. You will be responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of our computer systems as well as your primary responsibilities – our network management and servers. No day at FOCUS Broadband is ever the same. One day in our fast-paced environment could include installing, maintaining, and upgrading servers and networking equipment, while the next may involve research, evaluating new technologies, or light programming such as batch programs or scripts. Requirements Knowledge of WebSphere Application Server, Active Directory, Exchanger Server, Office 365, VMWare and Linux. Configuring, optimizing, fine-tuning and monitoring operating system software and servers Developing, maintaining and supporting technical infrastructure, hardware and system software components Performing installation, maintenance and support of system software/hardware and user support Knowledge of networking and routing technologies. Maintain reliable documentation of network and server configuration. Ensuring security and efficiency of IT infrastructure Perform day-to-day operational support to optimize efficiency with the server, storage, or network infrastructure. Monitor and restrict access to sensitive, confidential, or other high-security data. Performs all other duties assigned by the Manager of Information Technology. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a closely related field. Network+ and/or Security+ certification preferred or ability to attain within 12 months. Preferred experience in database, network administration, or systems administration experience. Working knowledge of OS/400, Windows Server, VMWare, Microsoft Azure, and Linux. Experience with multiple operating systems including Windows 2012 Server, Windows 2016 Server, Windows 2019 Server, Linux. Who is FOCUS Broadband?
