Job Description: Job Title: Systems Administrator – Enterprise Device Manager FLSA: Exempt Department: Information Technology Revision Date: 10/2024 General Function: We have an opening in the Information Technology Department for a Systems Administrator. The system admin team is responsible for the IT server and computer system infrastructure across the enterprise including: Hy-Vee’s retail, corporate, subsidiary, distribution, and manufacturing facilities. Core Competencies: Partnerships Growth mindset Results oriented Customer focused Professionalism Reporting Relations: Accountable and Reports to: Manager, IT Systems Administration Direct Reports: None Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Configure, manage, and document system and application settings to maintain a stable environment. Automate routine tasks using PowerShell, Python, or other scripting tools to improve efficiency. Administer and maintain the company’s Windows-based systems and associated applications. Provide advanced troubleshooting support for the Hy-Vee IT Help Desk and internal teams. Develop and maintain documentation within the team’s knowledge base to ensure continuity and best practices. Assist in diagnosing and resolving system issues promptly. Create, review, and approve change management requests in accordance with IT governance policies. Participate in an on-call rotation to ensure continuous system support and uptime. Education and Experience: Proven experience administering Microsoft technologies and Windows operating systems. Hands-on experience with MDM platforms such as MEMCM, Workspace ONE, and Intune. Strong understanding of Active Directory, Group Policy, and integration with third-party applications. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues in distributed or enterprise environments. Proficiency with automation tools such as PowerShell, Python, or other scripting languages to streamline operations. Excellent problem-solving aptitude, attention to detail, and a resourceful approach to new challenges. Physical Requirements: Visual requirements include: ability to see detail at near range with or without correction. Must be physically able to perform sedentary work: operating a computer, occasionally lifting or carrying objects of no more than 10 pounds, and occasionally standing or walking. Must be able to perform the following physical activities: meeting with customers, kneeling, reaching, handling, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
