About The Position One of our operating companies, Evolve Technologies, is looking for a Systems Administrator to join their team in Southport, Queensland. We are looking for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, takes initiative and proactively improves systems before issues arise.You will play a key role in designing, implementing, maintaining and optimising IT infrastructure for our clients while ensuring reliability, performance and security. Responsibilities Systems & Infrastructure Management Manage network infrastructure across both physical and virtual environments Administer and maintain server and storage systems Implement and manage server virtualisation environments Design and deploy multi-site infrastructure environments Configure and manage Microsoft Server environments, including Exchange and Office 365 Network Administration Deploy and manage network infrastructure including switches, routers and access points Manage network technologies including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing and subnetting Configure and support VLAN, WLAN and WAN environments Monitor and maintain network security and integrity Troubleshooting Provide Level 2 and Level 3 technical support across multiple client environments Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across server and network environments Deliver both remote and on-site technical support Monitoring, Security & Optimisation Proactively monitor systems and infrastructure to ensure reliability and performance Implement and maintain data and network security measures Ensure consistent performance, uptime and system integrity Projects & Collaboration Assist with scoping and managing IT infrastructure projects Provide technical advice and leadership on complex system and network issues Maintain relationships with external vendors and partners Skills required 3-5 years’ experience in a Systems Administration or similar role Experience working within a Managed Service Provider (desirable) Strong technical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organisation and time management abilities Technical Skills You will have experience administering and supporting Core Infrastructure: Active Directory Windows Server 2012-2025 DNS and DHCP services Microsoft Exchange Microsoft Office 365 administration Networking TCP/IP networking VLAN, WLAN and WAN environments Routing and subnetting Firewall technologies Network hardware including switches, routers and access points Virtualisation - Hyper-V and proxmox Benefits $2K inc super for 2 completed MS exams Ongoing training and development
