The Role:

Are you a systems-minded IT professional who enjoys ownership, problem-solving and working across a broad and evolving technology landscape? Join our Knowledge Services team at St Andrew's Anglican College as our Systems Administrator, where you will take primary ownership of the College's core business and learning systems, including TASS, Canvas and the College Portal, while also supporting our broader IT infrastructure.

Reporting to the ICT Infrastructure and Operations Manager, you'll work across Microsoft 365, Azure, Microsoft Entra ID and SQL Server, ensuring our systems remain secure, reliable and fit for purpose. This role moves beyond escalated technical support, taking ownership of key platforms, data integrity, integrations and device management, while partnering with internal and external stakeholders to deliver optimum solutions.

Key Responsibilities in this position will include:

  • Overseeing the administration and management of TASS, Canvas and the College Portal, including user accounts, permissions and data integrity.
  • Managing data flows and integrations between our core systems, Active Directory and Microsoft 365, and troubleshooting platform issues as they arise.
  • Monitoring database health, availability and security, and supporting Microsoft Fabric environments and SQL-based reporting.
  • Working alongside the Systems Engineer to manage day-to-day device enrolment and end-user support across Microsoft Intune/SCCM and JAMF.
  • Providing escalated, peer-level support to the Service Desk, contributing to a high standard of service for students, parents, staff and the wider community.
  • Contributing to the testing, configuration and rollout of new systems, features and technologies, including the strategic use of AI.
  • Supporting ICT systems more broadly, including networks, classroom AV, the College phone system and connected devices.

About You:

  • Tertiary qualification in IT or a related field.
  • Experience as a Systems Administrator or Database Manager, with expertise in Microsoft Server, Active Directory/Entra ID and device management (SCCM/Intune or JAMF).
  • Sound knowledge of network design and hardware management, including firewalls and wireless systems.
  • Proficiency across Windows, macOS, iOS and iPadOS.
  • SQL/database experience and PowerShell scripting for automation.
  • An analytical, solutions-focused mindset and strong communication skills.
  • A valid Blue Card (Working with Children Check) is mandatory.

How to Apply:

If you're ready to bring your systems expertise to a collaborative Knowledge Services team and make a genuine difference to our College community, we'd love to hear from you.

Please submit your resume and a cover letter outlining your experience and interest in the opportunity.
