POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a skilled Systems Administrator to support our Windows Server, Azure, and virtualized infrastructure. This role also provides ITIL-aligned Helpdesk support to internal users, contributes to cybersecurity and compliance efforts, and maintains clear technical documentation and communication. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment, supporting both end users and fellow IT staff to ensure consistent, high-quality IT service delivery.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field, or equivalent combination of certifications and 3+ years of progressive IT experience
  • Strong experience with Windows Server and Active Directory administration
  • Proficiency in Azure and Azure AD
  • Hands-on experience with VMware, Hyper-V, or Azure Stack HCI
  • Experience managing Microsoft 365 in a hybrid Exchange environment
  • Familiarity with MDM tools (Intune preferred)
  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles and experience with SIEM tools
  • Working knowledge of networking basics: DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and firewalls
  • Excellent troubleshooting and customer service skills
  • Clear, organized documentation and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment, sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

With or without reasonable accommodation, employees in this position must be able to:

  • Manage prolonged periods of working on a computer
  • Move freely about the facilities and interface with all departments as required
  • Remain in a stationary position (stand/sit) for 4-8 hours
  • Lift, carry up to 25 lbs. at times

Responsibilities
  • Administer and maintain Windows Server, Active Directory, and Group Policy
  • Manage and monitor Azure services, including virtual machines, networking, storage, and Azure AD
  • Support and maintain VMware and Azure Stack HCI environments
  • Manage Microsoft 365, including Exchange Hybrid, Teams, SharePoint, and compliance policies
  • Provide Tier 2/3 helpdesk support and excellent customer service to staff
  • Implement and maintain cybersecurity controls, including patching, auditing, MFA, and conditional access
  • Manage and support Mobile Device Management (MDM) via Microsoft Intune or similar tools
  • Monitor and respond to alerts through SIEM platforms and other security tools
  • Maintain backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes
  • Create and maintain accurate technical documentation, SOPs, and change logs
  • Participate in IT infrastructure projects, upgrades, and strategic planning
  • Collaborate with a cross-functional IT team to resolve issues, complete projects, and ensure continuity of services
