I. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES
Understands business objectives and problems, identifies alternative solutions, performs studies and cost/benefit analysis of alternatives. Writes detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer program. Reviews computer system capabilities, specifications, and scheduling limitations to determine if requested program or program change is possible within existing system.
The role of UI/UX designers is central to improving accessibility, usability, and responsiveness of the HHSC eligibility systems.

Note: Expected Start Date 10/01/2025 and Expected End Date 01/31/2026. May be renewed up to 3 years. Program will only allow candidates who are LOCAL TO THE AUSTIN AREA (Within 50-mile radius).
Position will be 2 days remote with 3 days (Mondays, Tuesdays & Thursdays) required to be onsite. Normal business hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, excluding State holidays when the agency is closed. The worker may be required to work remotely at HHSC discretion, up to 100 percent of the time
