The Senior System Analyst understands and maintains the integration between multiple software applications across various disciplines be it clinical or financial based. They serve as a professional role model, mentor and resource for assigned staff members of the IS Team. Familiar with HL7 standards and terminology; and the ability to develop, maintain, and analyze data integration and interface procedures/programs. Analyst may lead with the selection, implementation and support of applications needed. In addition, analyst may act as a liaison between departments in the evaluation and optimization of workflow processes, recommending areas where technology can contribute toward efficient and effectiveness.

EDUCATION:

• Required: BA/BS in Computer Science or business-related field
• Preferred: MA/MS in Computer Science or business-related field
• Equivalent experience may be substituted for education

EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum five (5) years IS experience. Preferred understanding of the functions of a hospital, relationships among departments, and overall understanding of the hospital institution
• Working experience with intermediate project management principles including directing the activities of other resources assigned to the project
• Clinical or Financial system implementation knowledge and experience preferred
• Experienced in SQL, DB structure, Microsoft applications, file transfers and interfacing
• Education of customers in system concepts and operation
• Experience with Meditech Client Server and/or Kronos UKG (Time Keeping, Advanced Scheduler, HR, Payroll)
