POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the IT Applications Manager, the Systems Analyst role is to ensure the secure, stable, and reliable operation of all IT Applications in use at APEGA. Our Systems Analysts are responsible for both technical assistance, support and collaboration with business departments to provide effective technology solutions. Our Systems Analysts thrive and excel within a team environment and working well with others is a key to success.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Experience working with modern front-end and back-end web technologies such as JavaScript, single page application frameworks, .NET, SQL Server, and association management software will be an asset.
- Knowledge of system development life cycle, structured systems development concepts, as well as software development methodologies.
- Knowledge and skills of modern deployment practices and tooling for release and deployment management.
- Excellent customer service skills and habits are a must.
- Able to organize and prioritize your work independently.
- Ability to support end users at an intermediate level.
- Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written.
- High attention to detail.
- Stays up to date with current advancements in application development tools and best practices.
- Strong abilities in T-SQL Querying and database performance troubleshooting.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Post-secondary degree in IST, computer science, software development or a related field.
- 3-5 years of progressively responsible related experience in medium IT environments.
- Certification in .NET, C#, SQL, ITIL 4 or other related certificates considered an asset.
- Experience in software development using Microsoft and Atlassian tools will be an asset.
- Equivalencies may be considered.

Responsibilities:
- Providing production support and documentation for the All APEGA Applications (Aptify, Sitefinity, SQL Server and Formatta), to ensure they are stable, reliable, and meeting the needs of the organization including:
- Main point of contact for any queries related to any IT Application.
- Providing subject matter of expertise on functionality of IT Applications.
- Addressing all IT Application support tickets
- Coordinating with vendors, developers, testers, and business departments
- Incident Management
- Tracking and troubleshooting the applications in timely manner
- Communicating outages and incidents to internal and external stakeholders
- Perform root cause analysis for IT Application incidents.
- Service Request Management
- Creating and configuring system views and reports for end users
- Application configuration and administration.
- Configuring, refreshing and support operational and project environments.
- Create and maintain automated build and deploy plans.
- Responsible for versioning, branching and managing code.
- Planning, documenting, and implementing IT Application releases following established processes.
- Performing installations, updates, upgrades for all IT Applications
- Acting as an expert on current state of IT solutions to inform project requirements and design.
- Researching and prototyping possible solutions to meet business requirements.
- Working with project team to deliver appropriate solutions for the business.
- Contributing to the development of the project solution.
- Ensuring up to date documentation of technical deliverable.
- Reviewing project solutions to ensure high quality technical deliverables.
- Implementing APEGA security policies for applications access management.
- Maintaining and ensure security of API keys and system secrets using APEGA approved tools.
- Assessing software security patches and provide recommendations regarding implementation.
