POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the IT Applications Manager, the Systems Analyst role is to ensure the secure, stable, and reliable operation of all IT Applications in use at APEGA. Our Systems Analysts are responsible for both technical assistance, support and collaboration with business departments to provide effective technology solutions. Our Systems Analysts thrive and excel within a team environment and working well with others is a key to success.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Experience working with modern front-end and back-end web technologies such as JavaScript, single page application frameworks, .NET, SQL Server, and association management software will be an asset.
- Knowledge of system development life cycle, structured systems development concepts, as well as software development methodologies.
- Knowledge and skills of modern deployment practices and tooling for release and deployment management.
- Excellent customer service skills and habits are a must.
- Able to organize and prioritize your work independently.
- Ability to support end users at an intermediate level.
- Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written.
- High attention to detail.
- Stays up to date with current advancements in application development tools and best practices.
- Strong abilities in T-SQL Querying and database performance troubleshooting.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Post-secondary degree in IST, computer science, software development or a related field.
- 3-5 years of progressively responsible related experience in medium IT environments.
- Certification in .NET, C#, SQL, ITIL 4 or other related certificates considered an asset.
- Experience in software development using Microsoft and Atlassian tools will be an asset.
- Equivalencies may be considered.
