Job Description This is a transformation‑focused role supporting the digital evolution of SGS Environmental Health & Safety laboratories across Australia. As a Systems and Process Coordinator, you will play a key role in modernising how laboratory and field data is captured, integrated and delivered to clients. Working at the intersection of laboratories, field operations, IT and customers, you will help transition legacy processes into automated, scalable and client‑centric digital services. Aligned to the SGS Laboratory Systems Specialist job profile, this position is ideal for someone who enjoys improving systems, embedding best practice and enabling operational change through technology. This position offers a flexible location within Australia, based at one of our major laboratories. The role allows a hybrid working arrangement, with a minimum of three days per week in the office. What You’ll Be Doing Drive the implementation and optimisation of LIMS and electronic data delivery solutions to support future‑ready laboratory operations Enable secure, automated and rules‑based data exchange between SGS systems and client platforms Partner with laboratories, field teams, SGS IT and commercial teams to redesign data workflows, sampling schedules and information structures Act as a change agent, supporting the transition from manual or fragmented processes to standardised digital services Serve as the primary systems interface for key clients, translating evolving data needs into practical, compliant solutions Apply regulatory knowledge and industry standards to strengthen data governance, compliance and reporting quality Define, monitor and improve system and data delivery performance metrics Develop scalable documentation, procedures and templates that support consistent national delivery Train and uplift laboratory, field and administrative teams in new systems, processes and client communication models Support non‑routine and urgent sampling or testing requirements during periods of change or transition Qualifications What You’ll Bring to the Role You are comfortable operating in environments undergoing change and enjoy improving how things work. You combine technical capability with strong stakeholder engagement skills. To succeed in this role, you will have: Experience in a commercial laboratory environment, with strong exposure to Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) A tertiary qualification in Science or Information Technology 3–5 years’ experience in laboratory systems, digital service delivery or data‑driven operational roles Advanced knowledge of LIMS platforms, relational databases and MS SQL Experience with scripting, automation or data analytics tools Strong communication skills and the ability to influence across technical and non‑technical teams A proactive, improvement‑focused mindset and the ability to work through ambiguity Experience in environmental testing and/or sampling or comparable laboratory environments (desirable) Why Join This Transformation?
