The Systems Compliance Auditor at Living Resources is responsible for evaluating and monitoring organizational systems, processes, and controls to ensure compliance with OPWDD and DOH regulations, Medicaid requirements, and applicable New York State and federal laws. This role plays a critical part in supporting Living Resources’ mission by promoting regulatory compliance, system integrity, risk mitigation, and continuous quality improvement across all programs and services. The Auditor works collaboratively with program leadership, Information Technology, Finance, Human Resources, and clinical teams to strengthen compliance infrastructure and ensure operational excellence in services provided to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Conduct routine and targeted internal audits of organizational systems and operations to ensure compliance with OPWDD, DOH, Medicaid, OMIG, NYS DOH, and federal regulatory requirements. Review electronic health records (EHR), billing systems, as well as other Living Resources Systems, documentation practices, and administrative systems for accuracy, completeness, and regulatory adherence. Evaluate system controls related to service delivery, billing, privacy, and data security. Identify compliance risks, system gaps, and operational vulnerabilities; document findings and recommend corrective actions. Prepare clear, detailed audit reports and corrective action plans (CAPs) for leadership review. Track remediation efforts and conduct follow-up reviews to ensure sustained compliance. Monitor compliance trends across Living Resources programs and support organizational risk assessments. Assist in preparation for external audits, surveys, and reviews conducted by OPWDD, OMIG, and other oversight entities. Assist in Assessing Living Resources policies, procedures, and workflows to ensure alignment with OPWDD regulations and best practices. Collaborate with IT and leadership to ensure organizational systems support compliance, data integrity, HIPAA requirements, and information security. Assist in the development, revision, and implementation of compliance tools, audit instruments, and monitoring protocols. Provide guidance and technical assistance to program and administrative staff on compliance expectations and system requirements. Support compliance training initiatives and promote a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement throughout Living Resources. Support investigations related to compliance concerns, ensuring confidentiality and objectivity. Maintain accurate audit documentation in accordance with Living Resources’ compliance program standards. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Administration, Information Systems, Compliance, Accounting, Social Work, or a related field required. Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills Preferred Qualifications: Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in compliance, auditing, quality assurance, or systems review within: OPWDD and/or Medicaid Funded programs Demonstrated experience working in a nonprofit, multi-program service environment. Direct experience with OPWDD audits, OMIG reviews, or compliance investigations.
