Read on to find out more… About the Role As a Systems Development Officer within the Transformation Team at Nottingham City Council Housing Services, you will play a key role in ensuring our digital tools and business applications effectively support service improvement across the organisation. You will manage the lifecycle of key systems, working closely with colleagues, ICT partners and suppliers to deliver reliable, efficient and user‑focused digital solutions. In this role, you will provide specialist knowledge on core applications, support enhancements, and help shape product roadmaps that align with our wider IT strategy. You will work collaboratively with ICT, business areas and training teams to resolve issues, improve system performance and ensure colleagues are confident in using our applications. Your insight will also support the evaluation of new technologies and ensure value‑for‑money, secure and compliant solutions. You will act as a trusted advisor, translating business needs into practical ICT changes, supporting digital transformation, and promoting technology as an enabler of service excellence. With a strong focus on communication, problem‑solving and stakeholder engagement, you will help drive innovation, minimise risk and ensure continuity of service for customers and colleagues. About You Experience across technology including operating systems, databases, applications, web, integration and how it can serve to deliver business change. It would be desirable for candidates to have knowledge and understanding of working with Housing management systems; particularly NEC Housing and/or Total Mobile. Ability to utilise Microsoft Office programmes (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint & Visio).
