ABOUT THE POST:

Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council is looking for candidates who are passionate about developing systems and services to streamline processes for families experiencing family help and children social care services, developing systems within case management products to enable single assessment; supporting Families only telling their story once. The postholder will be joining a small, enthusiastic Reforms Programme Team working at the heart of the BMBC Children’s services Reforms.
The post holder will require strong analytical skills and be able to provide detailed data insights reports that inform strategic decisions and enhance priority programme effectiveness. By analysing and translating complex data into actionable outcomes, and monitoring benefits, the Data Analyst will play a key role in ensuring the success of transformation programmes in the Barnsley case management systems, EISI, MOSAIC, CAPITA.
The post holder will require strong effective communication skills to enable effective liaison with partner agencies of BMBC, developing suitable data governance arrangements and information sharing agreements to assist in more partner agency data being automated into BMBS data warehouse.

Pensions Regulations have provisions to reduce pension payments in certain circumstances of those who return to work within local government service. MAIN DUTIES OF THE JOB

You will work directly with the Programme Manager to support with the priority programmes delivery plan.
The key duties and responsibilities of the role include:
Delivery of timely, accurate reporting and information, adding intelligence and insight to data analysis, identifying areas of improvement, tracking gaps in meeting delivery plan requirements and minimum expectations of the Families First Programme guidance and providing explanations to inform Head of Service, Programme Manager, and other colleagues.
You will be expected to identify data quality issues with programme data, ensuring support to teams to improve data quality and lead on regular review of data processes and implement efficiencies where improvements are required. This may involve representing the team at a range of meetings including production and delivery of reports and associated briefings.
You will support the Programme Manager with data queries, analytical assistance and understanding of system development information, to include benefits and risks. You will also create and deliver reports, dashboards and associated briefings, required by the team and wider system, in an understandable way for all audiences, including workforce colleagues and the public.
