JOB DESCRIPTION:

Serve as a Systems Engineer supporting a government customer

Perform system engineering and software development in multiple environments:

• e.g., Linux, Red Hat, CentOS and Rocky OS

Analyze business applications and design specifications for functional activities
Prepare required documentation (program-level and user-level)
Assist in establishing standards for information systems procedures
Support customer development and maintenance of systems baseline
Assess server loads and work with leads to develop tuning recommendations
Complete day-to-day Operations & Maintenance tasks
Perform operating system software updates, upgrades and patches

Provide support for the following:

• End-point devices, data center hosted servers, multi-Cloud services
• Virtualized applications and Storage systems

Provide services for modern application technology, including:

• Containerized solutions with orchestrated workflows on prem/in the cloud

Provide core infrastructure, voice and video engineering, and field engineering

QUALIFICATIONS:

BS in Computer Engineering or related
11+ years of Systems Engineering experience

Experience with cloud/multi-cloud services for AWS, Google, and or Azure

• EC2 instances Security Groups, VPCs
• Elastic Network Interface, Elastic IPs, Ephemeral Ips

Experience with Azure:

• Resource Groups, Network Interface, Network Security Groups
• Virtual Networks, Virtual Machines

Google Cloud:

• Compute Engines, Network Interface, Firewall Rules, VPCs

Experience Git Hub, Dev Ops, Java and Python
Experience in security review of applications and infrastructure
Understanding of Terraform Cloud orchestration for AWS, Google, and or Azure
Understanding of LINUX
Understand Python 3 application development
Experience in Git Version Control
