Description

Not every engineer wants to become a cloud specialist, cyber expert or people manager.

Some engineers simply love solving problems, delivering projects, building relationships and becoming the person their clients trust. If that sounds like you, keep reading...

We're partnering with a fast-growing Sydney MSP looking for a Systems Engineer who enjoys taking ownership and working directly with clients. You'll become the go-to engineer for your own portfolio of businesses, getting to know their environments inside out while delivering projects, leading improvements and solving complex technical challenges.

This is more than a support role. You'll lead onboarding projects, migrations and technology uplift initiatives, work closely with clients and play an important role in shaping the environments you support. We're looking for someone who enjoys taking the lead technically, sees things through and takes pride in delivering successful outcomes.

You'll spend time in the office, onsite with clients and working remotely, with plenty of variety, autonomy and the opportunity to make a genuine impact.

What's in it for you...

  • Salary of $100K-$120K + Super (17% total super contribution)
  • Own your own portfolio of clients
  • Mix of consulting, project delivery and ownership of your clients' technology environments
  • Regular client interaction rather than sitting behind a ticket queue
  • Modern Apple-first environment with Microsoft and Google technologies
  • Genuine autonomy and trust
  • Learn directly from experienced technical leaders
  • Interstate travel from time to time if you enjoy getting out and about
  • Join a business that's growing with clear career opportunities

What you'll be doing...You'll become the primary technical contact for a portfolio of clients by:

  • Leading client onboarding, migration and technology uplift projects
  • Building trusted relationships with customers
  • Delivering Level 2 and Level 3 support
  • Supporting Technical Account Managers with technical advice and recommendations
  • Managing onsite visits, technical reviews and preventative maintenance
  • Maintaining documentation and technical standards
  • Working across projects, escalations and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Helping clients get the most from their technology
