Systems Engineer Seeking a Systems Engineer to join our team on a permanent basis. This role will be involved in project based work with Geoscience Australia. Amentum is continually expanding our opportunities working on prominent defence projects across air, land and sea supporting the critical capabilities that keep Australia safe. We have a growing presence in cyber, space and nuclear programs. Tell me about this role: We are currently looking for a Baseline security cleared Systems Engineer to join our team on a permanent part time basis. You will support engineering activities related to SouthPan which provides improved positioning and navigation services in Australia, New Zealand, and its maritime region. What will I be doing day to day? Manage and maintain system requirements throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring traceability and alignment with stakeholder needs Engage with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and ensure technical alignment Provide expert technical advice to support decision-making across engineering and project teams Conduct technical reviews of designs, documentation, and deliverables to ensure quality and compliance Develop and implement engineering processes tailored to the needs of the SouthPan project Plan and execute technical testing activities, including validation and verification of system components Perform data analysis to support system performance assessments, troubleshooting, and reporting What sort of skills do I need? Bachelor degree qualifications in Systems Engineering Communications or related field Understanding of space, satellite or aviation related engineering Strong communication skills Process orientated with good attention to detail Australian citizenship and a minimum Baseline security clearance What’s in it for me? Responsibilities

The Systems Engineer will manage and maintain system requirements throughout the project lifecycle and engage with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide updates. They will conduct technical reviews and develop engineering processes tailored to the SouthPan project.
