Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for an Associate, Mid-Level or Senior Systems Engineer to join our Puget Sound Customer Support - Airplane Development organization at our Everett, WA site.

The role of Customer Support in Airplane Development is to be the lead Customer Advocate as development cycles from Program Launch to Entry-Into-Service. The ideal candidate for this position will be an individual who has a strong service culture background, and the ability to problem solve using a deep understanding of airline needs and the needs of our in-service operators. A Our team is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Associate (Level 2), Mid-Level (Level 3) and Senior (Level 4) Engineers.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- 3 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Typical Education & Experience:
Associate: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Mid-Level: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years’ related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Senior: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4, Master+7 years’ related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Responsibilities:
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Systems Engineering role in Customer Support – Airplane Development provides leadership to a team representing multiple skill areas, which includes both internal and external resources and customers.
The role of Customer Support in Airplane Development is to be the lead Customer Advocate as development cycles from Program Launch to Entry-Into-Service. The ideal candidate for this position will be an individual who has a strong service culture background and understands the needs of our in-service operators and how Boeing designs, builds and certifies commercial airplanes.
REPRESENTATIVE TASKS NEEDING SUPPORT:
- Requirements Validation – Supports requirements validation activity related to In-Service Readiness that ensures a service-ready product will be delivered to our airline customers. Develop validation and verification plans for requirements. (Level 2-3)
- Lead an integrated team of engineers to assess and disposition Problem Report Deferrals coming out of verification test activities to determine Customer impact and disposition accordingly. (Level 3-4)
- Collaborate with Maintenance and Flight engineering to ensure new airplanes are service-ready. (Level 2-3)
- Lead cross-functional teams to solve service ready issues across all five Service Ready Pillars: Airplane, Support, Suppliers, Services, and Customer are Ready. (Level 3-4)
- Flight Test Integration - Coordinate verification activities between various groups in Customer Support & Services and the Flight Test Ground Ops and/or the Flight Test Integration team. (Level 2-3)
- Integrate BCA Customer Support and BGS Services with Programs and act as Customer Support and Services customer advocate. (Level 2-3)
- Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify a lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions for resolution of cross-functional issues. (Levels 3-4)
