You can make your mark as systems engineer by supporting the tender or project team in applying Systems Engineering (SE) methodology in concrete practical cases. You will be part of the Project & Process Controls Team and work closely with other process controls disciplines, such as planning, risk management and process management.
Systems Engineering is an interdisciplinary process that ensures client’s requirements are met throughout the life cycle of a system, from initiate design to production. In this cycle, you are the link between design, engineering, project controls and operation.

YOUR QUALITIES AND EXPERIENCE

You can move ahead as a systems engineer if you have:

• At least 2 years of working experience as a Systems Engineer or Quality Engineer.
• An academic degree in Civil Engineering or Technical Business Administration or similar.
• Familiar with Relatics or other comparable requirement management software.
• Knowledge of integrated contracts, such as Design & Build, Build, Finance & Maintenance.
• Familiar with process and project management aspects.
• Proactive attitude.
• Analytical skills and a broad view, always looking beyond your own discipline.

• Implementing the systems engineering process on a tender or project in close consultation with the tender/project manager.
• Creating awareness among the tender and project team about systems engineering.
• Setting up Relatics (i.e., systems engineering tool) to support the execution of the systems engineering process.
• Structuring received contract information and guiding the tender or project team in specifying and analyzing this information.
• Providing support in preparing/developing Breakdowns (Systems Breakdown Structure and Work Breakdown Structure).
• Reviewing whether the contract requirements and specifications are followed by the Tender or Project team (i.e., Requirements Management).
• Where necessary, adapting screens and views (tables and queries) in Relatics for optimal execution of the Systems engineering process and related processes.
