About the role The Tactical Data Links (TDL) Australian System Engineer / COMSEC Custodian is a critical member of L3Harris Data Link Business, providing front line maintenance, engineering support and COMSEC Account management to support our Australian customers. Key responsibilities of our Australian TDL Systems Engineer / COMSEC Custodian include the following: We are seeking a candidate with at least 6 years’ experience in military applications, recently focused on COMSEC Management, including accounting, personnel access, training, physical security, and incident management. Experience with combat systems or ground data link host capabilities is a plus. The role demands strong judgment, initiative, and technical expertise to analyze issues and develop solutions. Applicants must be comfortable working independently as a remote resource and collaboratively within a global team. What the role will involve The responsibilities of your role will include the following: Background in Military Communications (C4I) Experience in operating and maintaining military radio, satellite and data network services Communications Information System Qualifications or equivalent relevant experience Experience as a cryptographic custodian or alternate custodian will be highly regarded Australian Military experience Active Military Clearance (Negative Vetting 1) or Equivalent Candidate must have strong computer and analytical skills Ability to travel in support of Australian domestic tasks. What you’ll bring  The role requires the following experience and skills: Experience with Tactical Data Link Radios (MIDS-LVT, MIDS-JTRS and Small Form Factor) and support equipment COMSEC / High Assurance Crypto Equipment (HACE) experience Australian Defence Force Logistical experience (MiLIS or ERP) Understanding of software reprogramming of military radios Ability to clearly and effectively communicate in written and oral form and convey concepts and provide technical information to new and current users of Tactical Data Link systems About L3Harris Australia L3Harris Australia excels as a prime defence contractor, providing integrated tech solutions for over four decades.
