POSITION SUMMARY

The Systems Engineer will be responsible for working in a team environment in support of DartPoints’ mission critical suite of colocation and managed services.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail; Reliability in keeping commitments and meeting deadlines
  • Sound systems engineering, maintenance, and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong Microsoft and/or Linux background - certifications preferred
  • Proficient with VMware services
  • General understanding of IP networking
  • Basic understanding of power concepts

  • Installation and management of VMware Virtual Machines
  • OS and anti-virus management
  • Full server monitoring and management
  • Managed on-line backup and vaulting
  • Support of DartPoints’ installed customer base
  • Member of 24x7 on-call support
  • Maintenance of colocation and managed services product suite
  • New customer provisioning and services installation
  • Mentoring of Network Operations Center support staff
  • Maintain a working level of proficiency with all DartPoints services
