Description
The interface between the Manufacturing Operational Technology (OT) and Manufacturing Information Technology (IT) environments is a rapidly evolving and dynamic space. An important aspect of this interface is the collection, processing, and display of data to enable efficiency within the plant floor manufacturing process through data driven, real-time decisions. The ideal candidate for this position will be responsible for working cross-functionally across the global Ford enterprise, including with Manufacturing teams, Enterprise Technology teams, Cyber Security teams, and Ford vendors to develop and evolve technical solutions to be more valuable to the end users, more cost effective, and more secure. This challenging position will provide the opportunity to strengthen a candidate's technical skills, collaboration skills, and overall knowledge of the manufacturing IT/OT environment, while delivering in a very key space to the company Lead the IT to business customer relationship around IT integration and data collection. Lead the relationship between manufacturing and the IT community and provide a voice to manufacturing and site teams on infrastructure related challenges Collaborate with manufacturing and IT teams to develop a long term strategy for data collection, processing, and display. Lead the development of new data collection/data display technologies and engage with PDO teams to ensure that new technologies and strategies are aligned with overall next generation manufacturing strategies Coordinate and participate in validation and test activities in collaboration with manufacturing and IT teams. Responsible for implementing data collection/data display deliverables across the enterprise Provide tactical support when required for testing, validation, rollout, and production support Provide technical guidance and training in the area of IT/OT data collection, processing, and display for PDO teams, EPEO teams, site IT teams, manufacturing teams, and launch teams. Established and active employee resource groups Strong understanding of the manufacturing process, plant floor environment, and associated data collection, processing, and display methods for manufacturing data Strong understanding of code and script development Strong understanding of Plant Floor Devices (e.g. PLCs, HMI), Plant Floor Display (PCBs), Virtualized data collection systems (vDxD's), and Manufacturing Network Architectures (CPN, MPN, OA) Strong understanding of IT/OT integration and the associated challenges and opportunities of collecting data across disparate systems Strong understanding of IT Network architectures and the associated devices and strategies to be applied to next generation networks Motivated, self-starter, excellent interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to listen and understand a business customer's point of view. Curiosity and the desire to learn new technologies is a must. Familiar with tools for the development and deployment of training Familiar with development and use of scripts and test harnesses for testing and evaluation Familiar with various new and legacy operating systems, browsers, industrial PC hardware, and industrial display technology Familiar with dashboard development and maintenance, including the use of Alteryx and Qlik Sense for data processing and display.
Responsibilities
