Job Description:
The Systems Engineer works with a team of Administrators, Engineers and Architects to build server and application architectures and the administrative operation and maintenance of server hardware and software in a virtual data center. Maintains system security and establishes practices and procedures, monitors usage statistics and logs, monitors. Develops baseline configurations and directs modification of configuration settings. Troubleshoots system related problems. Provides team leadership and guidance to less experienced administrators. Remains current in operating systems/software analysis and technological developments and applications. Recommends future direction or projects to management. Provides expertise and direction in the development or modification of software programs and applications to enhance an operating system.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Qualified candidates are proficient with many of the following technologies/products:

• DoD systems hardening (STIG, ACAS)
• Windows Operating Systems
• ePO Administration
• SQL Server
• Virtualized server environment
• Server backups (snapshot, full, differential, incremental, retention policies)
• Microsoft server applications (i.e. Exchange, SharePoint)
• PowerShell scripting

Qualified candidates possess the following skillsets:

• Excellent communication skills; shows tact, effective listening skills and follow through
• Provides technical guidance and leadership to engineers with less experience
• Can create effective and clear documentation (EIP, Build Guides, TTP, etc.)
• Detail oriented and organized; able to understand information systems and ensure accuracy of work

Requirements

• 8+ years of related Systems Engineering experience
• Secret Level Security Clearance with SSBI/T5 clearance
• Candidate must be able to meet German TESA requirements
• Candidate must possess DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification on Day 1
• Candidate must obtain ITIL Foundation certification within 90 days of hire
