SYSTEMS ENGINEER – HARDWARE IN THE LOOP

Salary: Up to £55,000, with additional benefits including a company bonus, pension, overtime, and flexible working
We are currently seeking a Systems Engineer specialising in Hardware in the Loop (HWIL) for a permanent role based in Stevenage, Hertfordshire. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge systems testing and simulation within a state-of-the-art national facility.
Our client’s mission is to deliver operational confidence through world-class, closed-loop systems performance testing. You will be integral to this mission, working on dynamic, real-time simulations that support system development, performance validation, and trial de-risking. The role involves integrating, maintaining, and operating complex simulation systems to generate crucial data for product enhancement.

As the ideal candidate, you will possess extensive engineering experience, with a solid understanding of system integration, simulation design, and performance analysis. Experience with testing sensors, sub-systems, or debugging interfaces will be highly regarded. You will need to demonstrate a structured approach to problem-solving and be comfortable working across diverse hardware and software platforms.

In this Systems Engineer role, you will:

  • Develop and execute real-time simulations based on performance models.
  • Conduct experiments using missile hardware and software.
  • Analyse missile performance and communicate findings effectively.
  • Engage with stakeholders across the organisation to ensure seamless testing processes.

Security clearance requirements include British citizenship or dual UK nationality with British citizenship.
If you are ready to join a team dedicated to supporting national defence and pushing technological boundaries, we would love to hear from you
